A few weeks ago Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue's Engine 3 was dispatched to an unresponsive person, CPR in progress. Upon arrival, off-duty firefighter, Doug Inglish, was administering basic life support. Firefighter Inglish maintained patient care and assisted Engine 3's crew with the use of the defibrillator. Doug Inglish said that he was outside his home, and heard neighbors with what sounded like a medical emergency. Doug grabbed his "go bag" and headed next door. He directed family members to call 911 while he started CPR. Doug Inglish is credited with saving his neighbor's life.
