The Rutherford County Drug Court program is making a difference.However, funding is getting more difficult, and this Saturday, money is being raised with a 5K Run at the Gateway Island, just off the Medical Center Parkway. Galen Medlin told WGNS news . . .

Registration is $30 for adults and $15 for students. That can be done starting at 6:30 this Saturday morning (10/8/2011). A special program giving details of Rutherford County Drug Court will be at 7:00, and the 5K run begins at 7:30AM.

Drug Court has graduated 150 persons over the past 10 years, and results show recitivism is low as is the cost of running the program when compared to incarceration.
