The Murfreesboro Parks & Rec is alive with their Youth Basketball League. Evaluations recently took place in the 'Boro. Sign ups are now closed and the players are ready to start practice, beginning December 5th.

The local league is the longest and largest running basketball league in Rutherford County. The City of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department has offered youth basketball to the citizens of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County for over 50 years.

Over the years many players from the Murfreesboro Basketball League have gone on to play middle school, high school, and college basketball. The league consistently averages 100 plus teams with over 900 players.

Age groups are from 5 years old to 17 years old.

The league focuses on developing fundamental skills while teaching life lessons through healthy competition. Great emphasis is placed on developing young players, training coaches, and providing well qualified professional staff.
