Pinson located the boy wearing only boxer shorts and sitting outside his home about 3 a.m. After Huffines identified him as the suspect and Pinson questioned the boy, Pinson charged him with aggravated burglary and theft.

Huffines awoke after hearing a thumping sound in the kitchen and seeing the light turned on in the hallway. She opened her door and came face-to-face with her neighbor and asked how he got inside. They walked outside where she saw her laptop computer sitting on the sidewalk at the back of her home. When she asked him about it, he left.

She noticed other property missing, including a television, amp, subwoofers, a speaker box, compact disc and global positioning systems. Value was estimated at $830.

Pinson located some of the stolen property in a thicket behind the property and the remainder of the property inside the boy’s home. He took he boy to the sheriff’s office for an interview where he admitted entering the home and stealing property.

The deputy obtained juvenile petitions charging the boy. He was booked into Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center where a hearing was set Monday.
