A suspect in a Murfreesboro murder will soon head to court for a discussion hearing.

The murder dates back to December 16, 2016. The fatal shooting took place at 284 Indian Park Drive, according to Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department.

The victim, 30-year old Cesar Lopez-Flores was pronounced deceased at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital a short time after officers responded to the scene.

Detectives learned that an alleged female victim reported she had been kidnapped earlier in the night by several suspects in Bedford County, had been assaulted and directed to take the suspects to the 284 Indian Park address.

Sgt. Evans reports when the suspects arrived at the Murfreesboro address, several suspects forced their way into the residence and shot Lopez-Flores. The alleged abduction victim was left at the scene and was present when officers arrived.

The MPD Violent Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Special Operations Unit, served an arrest warrant on Danny Holmes for the December 16th murder of Lopez-Flores.

Holmes will be in the courtroom of Judge David Bragg on Friday of this week (7/7/17).

Holmes faces the following charges:
