A man who made plans to meet a female acquaintance through FaceBook was allegedly kidnapped in Murfreesboro. The victim’s brother told police that he received a call from his brother stating that the persons who kidnapped him would kill him and then dump his body in the county if they did not pay them $500. After police caught wind of the plan, they met up with the alleged kidnappers in a gas station parking lot. Apparently the female the victim’s brother met was joined by two other men who reportedly wanted to hold the brother for ransom.
Arrested were 22-year old Jamie Robinson and 29-year old Jackie Wilkins, Jr. The two men were charged with aggravated robbery, theft and reckless endangerment. Murfreesboro Police Officer Kyle Evans told WGNS that Detective Garrison may move forward with the presentation of additional charges to the Grand Jury. At this time the two men have not been charged with kidnapping and the case is still being investigated.
