Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra President Jane McNulty told the Murfreesboro Rotary Club that as the local organization celebrates thirty-five years, it continues to need financial as well as attendance support.

McNulty said it takes approximately $200,000 annually to fund the group's seven performances, and next year they hope to increase to eight concerts.
The next concert is entitled MOSTLY MOZART and it will be at 7:30 Thursday evening, February 16, 2017, in the sanctuary of Murfreesboro's First United Methodist Church at 265 West Thompson Lane. The guest conductor is Vinay Parameswaran, associate conductor of the Nashville Symphony.
The final concert of the season will be "An Evening Of Pops" at 7:30 on Thursday evening, April 20, 2017. Guest conductor is MTSU's Band of Blue Director Craig S. Cornish.
