Police in LaVergne are investing an armed robbery that took place early Thursday morning (3/2/17).

The robbery happened on Liberty Lane during the AM hours. Evidently, the robbery was a home invasion.

Liberty Lane is between Nir Shreibman Boulevard and Stones River Road in LaVergne.

WGNS has confirmed that at least one person was injured and transported to StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna.Due to head trauma, the man was later taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. However, the severity of the injury has not been released.

The investigation into the robbery is underway.
