The Rutherford County Democratic Party will hold a Biennial Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on April 1, 2017 at Patterson Park Community Center, 521 Mercury Boulevard.

The convention will begin promptly at 9am. Doors open at 8am for registration. Participants should arrive early and bring their voter registration cards with them.

The Reorganization Convention is open to all Rutherford County Democrats. Attendees should arrive early (8am) to complete credentialing forms and be admitted to the convention prior to 9am when the meeting will begin. Admittance will be prohibited after the convention begins.

If individuals are not sure if they are registered to vote, or maybe lost their voter registration card and need a replacement card, they should contact the Rutherford County Election Commission at 1 Public Square S. Murfreesboro, TN or call (615) 898-7743 prior to the convention date.

Local Democrats will elect a new Chairperson, Vice Chairperson(s) Secretary, Treasurer and the Executive Committee for Rutherford County for the 2017/18 term.

During reorganization, attendees will evaluate the effectiveness of their County Party bylaws and leadership. Each County Party determines its own needs, elects new leaders and enacts reforms to build stronger grassroots organization.
