A former Uber driver arrested in Rutherford County last year for rape will face the courts on Monday (April 3, 2017).

43 Year old Emmett Lyons was accused of raping a client in 2016. Reports show that he picked up the female victim at a Murfreesboro Halloween party and when she got into Lyons vehicle, she was intoxicated.

A friend of the victim had an app that allowed her to see her friends route home. The friend grew concerned after seeing that the victim was taking an alternate and longer way home, so that friend headed to the victims house. Once there, she found the victim hurt and distraught.

The 22 year old victim was taken to the hospital and met by detectives which is when the investigation began last year.

Lyons remains behind bars at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. On Monday he will face two counts of Aggravated Rape and two counts of Rape in Circuit Court before the Honorable Judge David Bragg.
