Sheriff Dept. Gives Away Scholarship

Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold congratulates Mandy Devon Millard of Eagleville School and Miranda Christine Troup of Riverdale High School, who each received a $500 scholarship from the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association.  Troup is the daughter of Janet York and Bill Troup and the granddaughter of Sandra Cullen, RCSO department coordinator/legal assistant.  She plans to attend MTSU.  She also received the Future Business Leaders of America Scholarship, Business Foundation Scholarship, Hope Scholarship, and ranked 12th in the nation in the DECA Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition.  She was a member of the Riverdale Singers for four years, DECA and FBLA.  PHOTO: Sheriff Robert F. Arnold presents $500 scholarships to Mandy Millard, left, and Miranda Troup.  Millard is the daughter of Sandra Davis and the stepdaughter of RCSO Detention Deputy Steve Davis,.  She plans to attend Tennessee Technological University.  She received the Hope and Aspire Scholarships and the Tennessee Student Assistance Award.  As Eagleville’s starting softball catcher for the last two years, she was named the Wendy’s High School Heisman Athlete for softball and The Daily News Journal’s softball Catcher of the Year.  She earned the TSSAA Athletic Achievement Award for her GPA.  She earned a state degree from the Future Farmers of America.  They were two of 16 applicants who received the scholarship.
