Heart Walk

The activities begin at 1:00 o'clock next Sunday afternoon (10/30/2011) at the new Middle Tennessee Medical Center (1700 Medical Center Parkway; Murfreesboro, TN). WGNS will be broadcasting "live" during the walk that begins at 3:00PM. In fact, Bart is this year's honoree after his triple bypass surgery on June 7th. The Rutherford County Heart Walk is not only to raise money for the local Heart Association, it is also to raise awareness of this disease that continues to be the number one killer of adult American males and females.
Heart Attack Warning Signs
Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain.
Stroke Warning Signs
- SUDDEN NUMBNESS OR WEAKNESS OF THE FACE, ARM OR LEG, ESPECIALLY ON ONE SIDE OF THE BODY
- SUDDEN CONFUSION, TROUBLE SPEAKING OR UNDERSTANDING
- SUDDEN TROUBLE SEEING IN ONE OR BOTH EYES
- SUDDEN TROUBLE WALKING, DIZZINESS, LOSS OF BALANCE OR COORDINATION
- SUDDEN SEVERE HEADACHE WITH NO KNOWN CAUSE
