The City of Murfreesboro closed Haynes Drive over the weekend for a total resurfacing between Thompson Lane and Wiltshire Drive. That will repeat itself every weekend in the month of October.

7AM Saturday morning until 8PM Sunday nights

That means Haynes Drive will be closed to traffic, between Thompson Lane and Wiltshire Drive, from 7AM Saturday mornings until 8PM Sunday evenings every weekend during the month of October.

Lanes going toward Thompson Lane were almost completed, however there is still additional work to be done on that lane. Work on opposite lanes has barely begun.

City Public Information Office Mike Browning reminds those in that area, "The repaving work on Haynes Dr. will occur every weekend in October just like it did this past weekend."

Browning explained that crews are removing and repaving the deteriorated "failing section" of street surface.
