Five Thousand is a ministry that reaches the homeless and low-income individuals in Murfreesboro, TN.  The group feeds, clothes, and builds relationships with many individuals that will be spending the holidays this year either in a shelter or on the streets.  They feed breakfast every Sunday morning at Old Fort Park, and this year, Christmas happens to fall on a Sunday.  Since many of the individuals Five Thousand comes in contact with are either away from or without families, they are having a special event for the holidays. Five Thousand would like to provide each of them a box of things they can use as a present for them to open on Christmas day.  They are trying to get socks, gloves/hats/scarves, basic toiletry items (shampoo, soap, feminine products, etc.), hot hands, make-up products, and other small basic necessities to fill boxes for them.  The local non-profit is expecting about 100-150 men, women, and children.

Amber Hampton with Five Thousand Ministries told WGNS they are partnering with a new organization called The Way of Hope, which will be sheltering women and children during the winter months, and will be bringing boxes to those who are being sheltered as well.

If your organization would be willing to donate any of the aforementioned products, or anything else that would be useful for someone in a desperate situation, they would be grateful for any donation you would be willing to provide.
