A Murfreesboro Police car was damaged as two subjects fled Kohl's on Old Fort Parkway after allegedly shoplifting over 18-hundred dollars in merchandise.
Officer Jason McGriff reports being called to the store around 7:30 Monday night. He observed two subjects, a black male and black female, running from the enterance with items they didn't purchase.
He reports they ran to a gold Pontiac G6 with a temporary tag. Officer McGriff moved his vehicle to block the suspect's car. Officer Robert Jamison presented his taser and ordered the subjects to stop.
That's when the male subject rammed the front of the patrol vehicle, pushing it backwards. He then backed up and hit the patrol vehicle again and drove away.
While the shoplifting are being investigated by local authorities, the Tennessee Highway Patrol was called to do a routine motor vehicle accident report.
