Oakland High School Student Aubrey Echard has won first place in the 2017 District 48 Art Competition. This competition was open to all students in the 48th district (Oakland, Riverdale, Middle Tennessee Christian School, Providence Christian Academy, Central Magnet School, and District 48 home school students).
Aubrey's artwork won first place among all students and her work will be displayed in the Nashville office for district 48. The woman that Aubrey illustrated is Jane Eskind, the first women to be elected to public office in Tennessee.
