Suspected Serial Bank Robber Jason Xenos to be Charged Federally

UPDATE: Suspected serial bank robber Jason P. Xenos, arrested after allegedly robbing Fifth Third Bank's 1311 Bell Road branch, is in the Metro Jail and is expected to be charged federally on Monday.

Following up on information provided by citizens, South Precinct officers and members of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force apprehended Xenos, 32, in a vehicle at the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and Rural Hill Road. Xenos is suspected in the recent robberies of four banks, three in Nashville and one in Smyrna, by passing notes to tellers.

Nashville Police are on the lookout for a man whom they believe is a Serial bank robber.

South Precinct officers and the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force are working to identify the man who this past Wednesday at 10:12 a.m. robbed Fifth Third Bank's 5820 Nolensville Pike branch.

The robber gave the teller a money demand note. The teller complied and he fled on foot. The suspect is a white man who appears to be in his late 20s or 30s. He is approximately 5'8" tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has brown hair and facial hair. He wore a cap with a red bill, gray University of Alabama sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

The same man is suspected in last Friday's robbery of the Fifth Third Bank branch at Nippers Corner in South Nashville, and the November 13th robbery of the SunTrust Bank branch on S. Lowery Street in Smyrna.
