Wreaths Across America in the Stones River National Cemetery in Murfreesboro

This coming Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12 Noon, Wreaths Across America, the U.S. National Parks Service and Civil Air Patrol will be hosting a ceremony at the Stones River National Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, their mission is to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinated ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 states, at sea, and abroad.

Coordinated by local volunteers, local groups have worked to have wreaths donated to place on as many headstones of our fallen service members as possible. Last year over 2,000 wreaths were placed at Stones River National Cemetery.

This Saturday, all five branches of the U.S. Military and the U.S. Merchant Marine will be represented by official wreaths. Gold Star Families, speakers from the U.S. military and National Parks Service, local and state officials and the general public will be participating.
