Chip Hoover, a producer and the Senior Vice President of the Murfreesboro office of J. Smith Lanier - a Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) company, has been confirmed as 2018 Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Insurors of Tennessee. The group is a statewide trade association for independent insurance agents, representing over 5,000 insurance professionals across Tennessee. Hoover was sworn-in at the Association's Annual Meeting on October 17th in Memphis.
He will serve a one-year term as Association Secretary, with duties to include the caretaking of Board meeting records. Hoover had previously served as the Insurors Young Agents Representative to the board in 2009. In addition to his work with Insurors, he is a graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee; a founder and Board member of the 100 Club of Rutherford County; and has served on the Boards of Murfreesboro Main Street, Inc., Oaklands Association, American Heart Association and the Rutherford County Domestic Violence Shelter.
