A reported home invasion took place in LaVergne on Monday morning (1/22/18). The good news is that the incident ended with arrests.

Two men were arrested Monday following a 911 call of subjects forcing their way into a residence. Both men had stayed at the residence for a short time frame and voluntarily left on Sunday night. Police say that on Monday morning, the suspects forced their way into the house and got into a physical altercation with the residents. The suspects then fled the scene in a silver Nissan Sentra.

LaVergne Police Officers responded to the residence and saturated the area in an attempt to locate the suspects in the fleeing vehicle. The vehicle with the suspects inside was located, stopped and the subjects were taken into custody just inside the city limits of Metro Nashville by LaVergne Police.

During the investigation it was discovered that the Nissan Sentra was reported stolen out of Metro Nashville.

One of the residents involved incident at the home had injuries that were treated by Rutherford County EMS. One of the suspects was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained during the alleged invasion.

Upon completion of the suspect's medical treatment and release from the hospital, he was transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, where the other subject had already been transported. LaVergne Police say that they are considering this an isolated incident.
