What do you do if your entire police department quits? Officials in Eagleville are facing that dilemma now. That municipalities' Police Chief George Barrett reportedly abruptly resigned from his position earlier this month. The problem is that this was about a month after their only other officer had quit.

Eagleville Mayor Sam Tune said the city council will meet tonight (Tuesday, November 22, 2011) to discuss the issue. He notes that several applications have been received and there is a budget for the police department. However, but records indicate that in the past Eagleville has gone as long as three years without having a police department. 

In the meantime, deputies from the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office are patroling the area.
