After a late Monday (4/9/2018) evening debate, the Tennessee State House passed by a vote of 55 to 35, a bill that allows the sale of liquor by the bottle on Sundays.

An amendment to the bill would ban the sale of liquor and wine in grocery stores on Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Tennessee law has for many years allowed restaurants to sell wine and liquor by the drink on Sunday. This new legislation extends by the bottle to Sundays.

It now must go before the full Tennessee Senate.
