Jun 26, 2018 at 02:09 pm by Bryan Barrett

Since records have been retained in the Property Assessor's office in Rutherford County dating back to 1994, the county has had a revenue neutral tax rate. Today, $2.0994 is the official rate determined by the county and affirmed by the Tennessee State Board of Equalization to be Revenue neutral.

Property Assessor Rob Mitchell told WGNS in an email, "This should fully fund a budget appropriation of over $601 million dollars, which is another record for Rutherford County." The previous property tax rate was $2.68 per $100 of assessed value for Rutherford County properties.
