TVHS celebrated the 100th birthday of one of our nation's heroes today.
Augustus "Buck" Hunton was born 8/18/1918. Mr. Hunton is from Kentucky. He joined the Army in February 1941, several months before the U.S. entered WWII. He was assigned to the 1st Armored Division and served as a tank mechanic in Africa during the war. After his separation from the Army in 1946, Mr. Hunton continued his work as a mechanic.
Mr. Hunton's care team threw him a party to celebrate his 100th birthday this morning.
