Sep 05, 2018 at 08:18 am by Bryan Barrett

Murfreesboro Police responded to a road rage incident in recent weeks. When the first officer arrived on the scene he reported that he witnessed two subjects in the street, one holding a large flashlight covered in blood.

The man holding the flashlight at the intersection of Broad and Mercury Boulevard was identified as 51 year old Keal A. Madsen. The other man was identified as Harry Timmons.

Several witnesses told police they observed the two men fighting. One suggested they saw Timmons hold his hands up in a defensive manner as Madison reportedly attacked him with the flashlight.

Timmons told authorities the road rage happened when Madsen cut him off while speeding. Madsen then stopped and got out of his car as Timmons yelled at him from his truck. Timmons opened his car door to yell, according to a police report and Madsen allegedly slammed the door on Timmons leg. Shortly after, Timmons got out of his truck and Madsen retrieved a flashlight from his car.

The end result, police arrested Madsen for aggravated assault. Timmons was not arrested.
