Today (Monday) marks a year since a Smyrna gunman opened fire inside Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch.

NewsChannel 5 reports during their Sunday evening service, members prayed for each other and remembered Melanie Crow Smith, of Smyrna, who was shot and killed in the church's parking lot. Seven others were injured.

Emanuel Samson has pleaded not guilty in the shooting at the Antioch church. He was shot by a church member, who went to his vehicle to retrieve a gun to subdue the gunman.
