The trash talk continues... Rutherford County Mayor Bill Ketron continues to look into new ideas of what to do with the county landfill that will be closing in 5 to 8 years.

As you may know, elected officials recently visited the Sevierville composting facility in hopes of finding new ways to dispose of waste. Shortly after Mayor Ketron returned from the East Tennessee visit, he got a phone call...



The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation told Ketron that once the landfill reaches capacity, Republic Services, the private company over the landfill, will have to cap the top of the property with tons and tons of dirt...
