Project Tango Almost Ready for Murfreesboro

NHK Seating in Murfreesboro, which is currently in the midst of construction, will likely get a traffic signal to better allow for their trucks to go out during the day. NHK is building a $54-million dollar seat manufacturing facility and plans to hire some 224 employees in the near future. The new traffic signal NHK will likely get on Joe B. Jackson Parkway is out of concern for traffic that Amazon.com would create if built next to NHK. Apparently, there are a few details left to work out before Amazon.com closes on a land deal. Amazon.com is looking at 80-acres on Joe B. Jackson Parkway and hopes to hire over 1,200 workers in Murfreesboro if all goes as planned. A $15-million tax abatement plan has already been ironed out by the state, Rutherford County and the City of Murfreesboro.
