Margaret Raikes, the wife of longtime Smyrna High School principal Robert Raikes, passed away on Monday.

She is also survived by her daughters, Vicki Fann and Kimber Buehler and several grandchildren.

Margaret Raikes, who graduated Smyrna High School in 1957, was the secretary at the school for many years before her retirement in 1996.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1pm at LifePoint Church in Smyrna. Brother W.D. Thomason will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from 3 to 8pm at LifePoint Church. Woodfin Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
