Murfreesboro Police are investigating a deadly shooting. It happened just before 7pm Friday (February 15) at Summerlake Apartments on National Drive.

Spokesman Larry Flowers reports when officers arrived, they discovered a male victim who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene and the motive is unknown.

The name of the victim will not be released pending notification of next of kin.

Flowers says crime scene investigators are interviewing witnesses and people who live at the complex and are trying to determine what happened. The investigation is ongoing.
