(MURFREESBORO) Murfreesboro Police Detective Gorham went to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital on Monday (3/25/2019) to talk with a stabbing victim.

The 45-year old woman told police that were drinking and smoking inside the suspect's motel room, when the couple decided to drive over to a friend's home at Campus Villa Apartment at 902 Greenland Drive. During that time, an altercation erupted. The victim told Detective Gorham that the man pulled a knife and stabbed the female in her left thigh. She reportedly fought back, and the man reportedly pushed her out of the car, onto the parking lot.

A third party, who was not involved, called 911 after she found the female who was having difficulty breathing.
