A $12,000 Meth Lab in LaVergne

Jan 05, 2012 at 06:08 am by Bryan Barrett

$12,000 - - That is the price it is costing one homeowner to clean up a meth lab left behind by a tenant in LaVergne. The homeowner, Amos Zain, lives in Texas and was issued the clean-up bill by LaVergne after crews came in and cleaned up a meth lab that was in the house. Apparently the Meth Task Force out of Nashville was called to the home, but did not show up until after a private company had come in and removed the materials from the lab. That is why LaVergne sent the bill to Zain, who moved to Texas after losing his job with General Motors. Zain, by the way, told WTVF that he cannot afford to pay LaVergne $12,000 for cleaning up the mess left behind by a renter. To make matters worse, there is currently no tenant in the home to cover the cost of the mortgage.
