The Murfreesboro Muslim Youth held a special community dinner for area non-profits on Sunday as a way of thanking them for their contributions to the less fortunate. The event was held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center.

The 2019 award winners selected for their contribution to Rutherford County in 2018 included the Nourish Food Bank "Person of the Year," Nathan Reed with Community Care of Rutherford County.

The Muslim Youth who organized the annual sunset dinner also provided 1000 meal vouchers to the Murfreesboro Cold Patrol and Stepping Stones Safe Haven, Inc. to help with their urgent food needs.

According to the Muslim Youth organization, "Our mission is to help connect, develop, grow, learn from, and educate our youth from all age groups through community services and working together."
