A homicide investigation is underway following the report of a body being found in the Woodbury area on July 12th.

District Attorney General Jennings Jones requested agents of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to lead the inquiry into the case.

Reports indicate agents began gathering evidence Friday afternoon. The 800 block of Sunny Slope Drive is the first area of interest for law enforcement.
