IDEA: Middle TN Electric Revisits Acquiring Murfreesboro Electric

Middle Tennessee Electric President and CEO Chris Jones said the utility provider is still interested in the idea of purchasing Murfreesboro Electric from the city.



You may recall that negotiations for Middle Tennessee Electric to purchase Murfreesboro Electric took place in 2016, but fell through. Now, the proposal is back on the table.



Again, the idea of Middle Tennessee Electric acquiring Murfreesboro Electric is just an idea at this point that is being further discussed.
