(MURFREESBORO) Here's an update on early Friday (8/2/2019) morning fatal shooting of 30-year old Terrell Edward Ray of Antioch.
First responders found Ray lying on the sidewalk outside the Villager Condominiums at 2850 Middle Tennessee Boulevard.
Personnel with the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services with assistance from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department, began treating the victim on scene. He was transported by RCEMS to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Murfreesboro Police Department have launched an investigation into Ray's death. In addition, the shooter stole the victim's car.
Murfreesboro Police received the call from a neighbor around 3:12AM Friday morning, who heard multiple gunshots and saw the male victim laying on the sidewalk. Murfreesboro police were on-the-scene minutes after the report was received.
Detectives have recovered the stolen vehicle. Several bullet casings were recovered from the crime scene. The shooter remains on the run.
The incident is being investigated by detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division.
