If you want to qualify to run for a seat on the Murfreesboro City Council or the Murfreesboro School Board, you had better act fast. The deadline to enter the race is on Thursday. The Election Day is on April the 17th. So far in the city council race, incumbents Toby Gilley and Chris Bratcher have qualified to run. Ron Washington has picked up a petition to qualify, but has yet to turn it in. Also qualifying to run are Connor Moss, Ricky R. Turner, Bill Jakes and Eddie L. Smotherman.
In the race for the Murfreesboro School Board, incumbents Butch Campbell and Nancy Phillips have both qualified to run again. Also qualifying are Aaron Hall and William “Andy” Brown.
