9th Annual MLK March Attracts Several Hundred Walkers

Around noontime Monday (1-16-2011), the cool temperatures and mist didn't deter several hundred local residents from participating in the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. It began at Central Magnet School and went down Hancock Street to the Patterson Community Center.  Event Chairman Shawn Brown told WGNS News . . .  

Largest Turnout

The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority took care of voter registration. This was the 9th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March in Murfreesboro, and officials agreed that it was the largest, They also noted that there was a wide-span of ages united in the 8-block span between Central and the Patterson Center.
