Possible Tornado Touchdown in Rockvale on Tuesday

Jan 18, 2012 at 06:22 am by Bryan Barrett

High winds and possibly a tornado caused damage in Rockvale on Tuesday afternoon. Reports indicate an RV was overturned and several homes had massive exterior damage. The roof of a home was even partially removed by winds at one home. Downed trees and power lines were also a problem in Rockvale. Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency and the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the area to help residents during and after the storm on Tuesday. The National Weather Service will likely determine if the damage was caused by high winds or an actual tornado later today.
