(SMYRNA) More than 100 people turned out this past Saturday (10/19/2019) for the Jefferson School Reunion held at the beautiful Davenport Barn on Rock Springs Road in Smyrna, TN.

Memories and laughter were shared between former Jefferson School students from as early as the 1930s.

Past President of the Rutherford County Historical Society Frank Caperton said, "The last class to attend Jefferson School was 1966, as the Percy Priest Reservoir project took its toll with the impoundment of the lands around the towns once known as Jefferson, Jefferson Springs and Lamar."
