Murfreesboro, Tenn. - "Try To Remember" a time when this romantic charmer wasn't enchanting audiences around the world. The Fantasticks, which ran for over 50 years Off-Broadway, tells an endearing story about a boy, a girl, their two meddling fathers, and a love that keeps growing. The Fantasticks is the longest-running musical in the world the only off-Broadway show to receive a Tony Award honor for Excellence in Theater. It opens at the Center for the Arts on Friday, November 8 and runs through November 24.

It has been an honor to collaborate with my wife and to bring this American love story to the Murfreesboro community."
The Fantasticks is a funny and romantic musical that centers around Matt (Tucker Young), Luisa (Riley Grace Abbott), and their two fathers who try to keep them apart. The narrator, El Gallo (Spencer Germany), asks the audience to use their imagination and follow him into a world of moonlight and magic. Luisa and Matt experience the joy of love, the sadness of loss, and the hope that they will find their way back to each other. As with all great love stories, we learn that all is not as it seems and that Matt and Luisa's fathers have their own part to play in their love story. If you haven't seen the world's longest-running musical then you won't want to miss this stunning production at the Center for the Arts.
The production at the Center for the Arts is directed by husband and wife team Keri and Adam Boe.
