Katherine Holmes, 27, of Seminary Road in Smyrna, is jailed in lieu of $200,000 bond.

The woman’s estranged husband, 28-year old Joel Andrew Holmes, survived a gunshot wound to the head in the parking lot of Summit Apartments on Mountain High Drive in Nashville.  Joel Holmes arrived at the apartment complex just after 7 p.m. on August 24th to meet his estranged wife for the purpose of exchanging their two children, ages five and one.  Shortly after Holmes pulled in, a man approached him from the side of the office building and shot him.  An Investigation by Detective Corey Wall led to the arrest of the admitted gunman, Barry Dean Haislip, 25, in the early morning hours of the following day.  Detective Wall’s investigation alleges that Haislip and Katherine Holmes, who was also in the parking lot with the children at the time of the shooting, conspired together to kill Joel Holmes. Again, Joel Holmes miraculously survived the gunshot to the head and now his wife and alleged boyfriend are behind bars.
