The City of Murfreesboro Parks and Rec Department has announced their summer camp line-up for 2020 and one of the many items on the agenda... being a zoologist!

If your child ever wanted to be an animal scientist or if they just love to learn about the natural world, this camp maybe for them.

Campers will engage in activities that involve wildlife, their habitats, natural history, research and conservation. The first 2 days will be filled with fun activities at the Wilderness Station that explore our native wildlife and their needs.

Then, they will pack up and hit the road for the remainder of the week as they visit some of our most beautiful natural places in the state. Camp goers will meet several professionals in this line of work to find out all the ways you can contribute and help our wildlife.

One of the stopping points will be the Cherokee National Forest where the focus will be stream biodiversity and learning about the amazing animals that live there. Transportation, camping gear, and meals while camping will be provided.

Registration begins March 2, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.

Ages: 13 - 15 years

Dates: July 6 - 10
Times: Mon/Tues: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wed. drop off: 8:00 a.m.
Fri. pick up: 4:00 p.m.

Fee: $125 + $125 Equipment Fee City Resident: $110 + $125 Equipment Fee
