The City of La Vergne hosted an annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration Monday, January 20, at the La Vergne City Hall.

Opening remarks were made by La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole, Alderman Calvin Jones and Alderman Matt Church.

The guest speakers were MTSU President Dr. Sidney McPhee and longtime community volunteer Dr. Gloria Bonner.
