Big Shoplifting Ring Broken in Murfreesboro

Feb 06, 2012 at 12:35 pm by Bryan Barrett

Four people were arrested after stealing nearly $800 worth of clothing from American Eagle, Victoria Secret, Dick’s and Hollister. The four suspects were caught after leaving the Avenue shopping center on Medical Center Parkway. When pulled over by police, officers spotted the stolen clothes in the front passenger floorboard of the car. The responding officer wrote in an incident report that the anti-theft security device’s were still attached to the clothing. The culprits evidently put duct tape over the anti-theft tags so they could leave the store without the alarms sounding. All four will have to explain their actions to a judge in general sessions court.
