Mar 04, 2020 at 08:46 pm by bryan

(MURFREESBORO) SIMPLY PURE SWEETS the local bakery and cafe connected with the WGNS' Birthday Club, held a double celebration on Tuesday. First, it was this family business' fourth anniversary, plus--it was to celebrate their new location at 128 North Church Street on the east side of the Murfreesboro square.

Simply Pure Sweets opened on North Walnut Street in 2016, and approximately four-years later needed to move to a larger location.

The new location on the east side of the square basically doubled the size of SIMPLY PURE SWEETS. The new facility has 2,500 square feet, which dramatically increases the kitchen and bakery area--along with a more comfortable area for those who dine-in for their breakfast and lunch.

Chantell's Dream Came True

Chantell said, "Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to own a bakery; not too many years later here we are . . .

She explained, "After years of learning at home I continued my education at Johnson & Wales University completing degrees in culinary arts, baking and pastry arts and nutrition. While in school I had the opportunity to study in France and gained a stronger passion for all things French pastry. Upon graduating I utilized my nutrition degree working as a chef in hospitals. It was beyond rewarding, just not in the ways I desired. I was missing the creativity and passion that brought my into food in the first place. After some persuasion from my parents I moved home and began working on opening my very own place. It has been a very interesting and at times overwhelming experience that I wouldn't trade for the world. Everyday I pour my heart and soul into this business and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do!"

Matthew Always Promoting

Her husband Matthew works by Chantell's side and is also very much involved in the community. In fact, he participated in Read To Succeed's 2019 Celebrity Spelling Bee, and walked away the winner!
