Rutherford County school bus number seven was sideswiped Friday morning (2-10-2012).  Five students were transported to the hospital as a precaution. All parents were notified. Reports indicate that the bus was stopping to pickup a student when a car slid into it. There were 33 students on the bus from Christiana Elementary, Christiana Middle and Riverdale High schools. The incident occured on 231-South (Shelbyville Highway) near Midland Road and was worked by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
