(CHRISTIANA TN) Storms that swept through Rutherford County around 11:15AM Easter Sunday brought winds and bolts of lightning that struck a home on Zepher Court, just off Round Rock Road, and near Barfield Crescent Road.
Quick work from a neighbor had the fire extinguished before units from Rutherford County Fire Rescue and Christiana arrived.
First responders said that only smoke was in the residence when they arrived.
Firefighters discovered a hole in the roof, and with the heavy rainfall--even more damage was done to the home. Crews assisted the residents with covering the hole in the roof to prevent further damage from the rain.
