Refrigerated trucks will be used in Tennessee and are now on standby should there be a surge in COVID-19 deaths. The trucks will be used across the state if the pandemic creates the need for more morgue space than hospitals actually have in Tennessee.
The information was released this past Friday by TN Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Adele Lewis during a webinar for the healthcare industry in the Volunteer state. Evidently, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency is in charge of the refrigerated trucks, if they are needed.
