(MURFREESBORO) More on the fatal shooting of a Woodbury man around 8:30 Thursday (4/9/2020) night. 28-year old James Evans has been charged with second degree murder and booked on $85,000 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

Evans was detained at the shooting scene and later interrogated by detectives. Evans and the victim reportedly were acquaintances.

He was arrested for the death of 30-year old Stephen R. Lopez. Officers found the deceased Woodbury man when they arrived at the scene.

The shooting occurred at a home in the 1100 block of North Rutherford Boulevard, near MTSU.
